Replace the original changes of this DCR by the following, as detailed in the mark-up specification 3401/008 Draft 7D.
All modifications are made for the purposes of consistency and clarification.
In addition a change per DCR1546 also applies: correction of the Minimum Limit for Unmating Force for the Plug, Shell Size 37 (Table 1(a)).
1) Some general minor editorial changes are included (see ESCC 3401/008 Draft 7D for full details).
2) Title (Page 1) and Para. 1.1 Scope (Page 6) are updated to include the full range of components "...PUSH-PULL COUPLING PLUG AND RECEPTACLES AND RACK AND PANEL PLUG, REMOVABLE CRIMP CONTACTS".
3) Table 1(a), Para. 4.3.2, Para. 4.5.3.2 Existing values of Mating / Unmating Forces apply to the Push-Pull coupling plugs and receptacles; Rack and Panel plugs have different values which are now specified in Table 1(a). Clarify in Note 1 to Table 1(a) that the specified max weights exclude the nut and lanyard. New Note 2 added regarding the minimum Unmating Forces for Rack and Panel plugs. New Notes 3 & 4 added as the max Weight of Shell Type 79 Plugs, sizes 37 & 61, are different from 71g & 99g. Clarify the weight details for the nut and lanyard.
4) Figure 2, all Shell Types New Note 1 added to each figure for all Shell Types to clarify that the figure does include the default rear nut (per ESCC 3401/064 Variants 01 to 07 as applicable).
5) Figure 2, Shell Type 78 (Plug with Lanyard) Tolerance of the Cable Length is corrected from 2 to 2.1. Old Note 1 is renumbered Note 2.
6) Paras. 4.4.1 to 4.4.6 Paras amended to clarify that the contacts are ordered and delivered separately from the connectors. Details for the lanyard are added. Paras amended and added to clarify the details for the accessories including the default nut (per ESCC 3401/064 Variants 01 to 07 as applicable) which is included as standard with the connectors for procurement without the appropriate modification codes (1A, E5624, L5624). It is clarified that other accessories from ESCC 3401/064 must be ordered and delivered separately to the connectors.
7) Paras. 4.5.1 to 4.5.3.2 Paras amended and added to reflect the current ESCC 21700 plus to clarify the requirements for contacts and modifications including:
a) add missing marking item: The ESCC qualified components symbol (for ESCC qualified components only).
b) all characteristics are now included as part of the ESCC Component Number.
c) clarify Modification code 090 (for Delivered Without Contacts) shall not be marked on the connectors themselves.
d) clarify that when mod codes 1A, E5624, L5624 are not included in the ESCC Component Number, the connectors shall be delivered including a default rear nut (per ESCC 3401/064 Variants 01 to 07 [as applicable]).
